Why You Don’t Become a Creator
When it feels like you chase everyone away
I am not close to being a ‘successful’ creator. I have an inkling as to why. I feel like every time I express an opinion, I chase people away. I’ve never been a ‘cool’ person, so what else do I have? It seems so easy to push people away just being yourself.
Talk about the need to develop even thicker skin! Be more open minded, people say. Hey, how about YOU doing that. Oops, bitterness seeping out.
I just saw a tweet by a Mr. Dickie Bush — he made a rule to create content every time he consumed content. In other words, be a creator, not a consumer.
No one will ever despise you for being a consumer, have you ever noticed that?
But try to be a creator at any level, here comes the Flood! Sorry, Billy Joel. People are already easily triggered, so why add to it?
So, it becomes a bit obvious one must persevere for a very long time to become a true creator, get past this wall of criticism, doubt, and pushback.
