My history with him
Years ago, I knew of his books. I’d read them and think, um, ok. Then he did the Apprentice shows. I’ve never been one for that kind of stuff, too much machination for me, which also why I never cared for Survivor either.
Then he is running for President. I thought he would be a bit like Ross Perot. Rich guy running for President, good luck with that. He then became the leading candidate. You’d think out of those 11 candidates in that farce of a debate, someone else would win out. Wusses.
I’d see documentaries. Dang, this guy is mean, gets things done by stepping on people. Definite slant to the docs but hey.
I’m still not liking the name calling. Low-energy Jeb was a good one though.
He also was too much like a Democrat to me. In a way he still is, but I’m extremely conservative.
Then the debate with HC. He ate her lunch. Told her she’d be in jail. Wow. I’m still thinking the machine will win.
What sold me is his commitment to get the right Supreme Court appointees in. Now, I knew he could just be making promises. Yet, he delivered.
Years later, I’m noticing something. If he does a smirk, oh, it is coming. Since it does not matter who is President (you know what I mean), why not have someone that does not tolerate garbage? Shakes up the room?
All of these claims that he is going to destroy something or that he is a dictator or fascist are laughable. Say or do what you think is going to stick. We are way past all of that, no one follows the Constitution anymore. It’s the machine versus him. I have no idea if he can reverse some of the junk going on. He is not my ‘Savior’.
